Handicap Parking Spaces

June 14, 2016

How come so many people are violating tenant parking spaces and Handicap Parking spaces in HUD buildings?

Tonight I witnessed a car receive a parking ticket because the car was parked in a Handicap space illegally. I decided to sit, watch, and wait. I was intrigued to see what the person would do when they arrived to their ticketed car. Well, I see a lady with her family walking to her car she buckles up her kids, and away she goes….I literally followed her by chance because it just so happened she was traveling in my direction.

What is the fine for parking illegally in a Handicap space in San Diego California and what is the fine when you drive off and may loose a ticket you don’t see on your window?

What can I say Grossmont Hospital is great! My father has been a patient for the last few days due to back surgery; the BIG question is where to rehabilitate? In addition, will my dad go? I am glad I have been running “The Hayliegh Project” one of the services I offer is to act as liaison for people in the hospital who need an advocate to help make decisions for them. Now I can help my parents who had no idea that my dad was going to need extra medical help and / or where to place him?  From the work I have done, I knew right away, where I needed my dad to go and which was the nicest facility.  I also knew we had to jump and be proactive asap. Our caseworkers Will and Carl couldn’t resist a pic w/ Chloe and who couldn’t resist a pic with them!  We also met Daria who works in nutrition not only was she kind, but she couldn’t stop smiling because of Chloe.

Sweet little note: I said, “Dad I know you want out of here and I want you out of here too.” I said, “Dad I cannot even handle ER and when I leave ER I cannot get home fast enough”, so I said, “Dad you have to dial it in and work it out, so you can get home. This means move your muscles!” He was so cute he started lifting his legs in the hospital bed saying, “Kim I moving my legs and I have to dial it in!.” I shared with him how proud I was of him… Go dad!

Starting Detox to Kill Anaerobic Bacteria From Hospital

Detox

Reason for detox is I ended up with a multiple of bacterial infections in my body after major surgery. I fear getting sick repeatedly and hospital visits. People say, “Have faith” or “You will get through this.” I have been through misery for 6 months now and it doesn’t seem to end with that said I will be doing an Oxy cleans. The cleanse will kill all Candida and anaerobic bacteria from surgery. It can keep resurfacing inside my body and become resistant to antibiotics.I mentally having to prep my mind around a major detox I am doing.  I keep telling myself if I can make it through the major surgery and everything I have been through I can do this.

First day on detox. Take on empty stomach, then wait three hours no food at all after three hours. Take a liquid Oxy and wait 30 minutes to eat. Repeats process three hours later around dinnertime or, before bed on empty stomach.

  • Finished Pilates Machine workout and had a yummy kale, grapefruit and pine nut salad.

Trying to get well

August 28, 2015

I have to thank all my friends and family for support.

It has been about six months now and with out getting technical I have had third complications from major surgery. Several bacterial infections at this time.  The hardest months have been through June to present. Not blogging, praying has been hard to do because of my health. What I do know to be true is God is with me. Not being able to workout all of these things have tried my soul.

My Chloe has been a breath of sunshine and stays close to my side while I recover.

If I can be honest the infection frightens me so…..I have nightmares.

Please pray for my healing and that God can use me as a vessel again and not a patient…..Chloe love

Now It Is Stated Regarding Service Animals.

Martin Luther King day!

Many people living with hidden disabilities are being discriminated against daily.

“Hiddendisabilities” last post on wordpress.com was a reaction to the first “Dog Walking Area” I shared how all my rights are being denied under Fair Housing. The second message arrived on my door January 15, 2015.  ANIMALS This is not okay under any fair housing where disabled people live. The other concern is under HUD can pets be taken away from seniors?

Chloe’s World

October 27, 2014

This is about an amazing story of a service dog in action. Chloe and I went shopping at Walmart. After shopping, I went to my car and my key was gone. It has fallen off the leash. I saw our friend Dave an employee and asked him to watch Chloe and my cart, so I could go inside and find the key. In the meantime, Dave was looking through my groceries to see if he could find my key. I came back out of the store and Dave holds this key which looks like a lighter. I said I thought it could be in the cart, but had to take action inside the store just in case. Dave said Kim “Chloe found it.” He was amazed she had pulled him to an area under the shopping cart pointing with her nose. He picks up the bag of groceries where her nose is at and there it is my key.

It blew his mind because he knows what service dogs can do, but to witness it is cool. I am glad that people can see what she does. It is a blessing.

Chloe saw Halloween candy, yummy! I had to say “No!” I did let her take a picture with all the candy. Chloe asked for a toy and I said “Yes!” We broke the rules and started playing in line while waiting to check out at the store.
