Handicap Parking Spaces

June 14, 2016

How come so many people are violating tenant parking spaces and Handicap Parking spaces in HUD buildings?

Tonight I witnessed a car receive a parking ticket because the car was parked in a Handicap space illegally. I decided to sit, watch, and wait. I was intrigued to see what the person would do when they arrived to their ticketed car. Well, I see a lady with her family walking to her car she buckles up her kids, and away she goes….I literally followed her by chance because it just so happened she was traveling in my direction.

What is the fine for parking illegally in a Handicap space in San Diego California and what is the fine when you drive off and may loose a ticket you don’t see on your window?

Watching me closely

Watching me closely

This was interesting for me to witness how Chloe new I had a migraine and I had to give myself an injection of Imitrex because the dissolving Maxalt was not working. We met my mom at the hospital and waited for my dad’s outcome from back surgery. We sat with my mom and normally Chloe goes crazy happy because she knows my mom. Well this time she looked at my mom and came right next to me then got in my lap and just nestled there for a good hour. As the medication kicked in, she seemed to be more relaxed and less stressed about my health. Than she lied on the floor. My last service Hayliegh knew migraines too.  #servicedogs #hiddendisabilities

Good job Chloe!

Day 9 Detox Anaerobic Bacteria and Candida

September 16, 2015

The word for me today is, “Discipline.”

I am detoxing from relapsing with a breakout of anaerobic bacteria. There is no test to show if I will break out unless I have a breakout and by then it is too late off to hospital. The bacteria can affect the lungs, heart valves, intestines, or bladder. Dr. Whiting owner of Phoenix Nutritionals formulated a product Oxy cleanse. This product kills all bacteria and candida. I need to look at candida because I had been on many antibiotics before surgery. People say, “Oh take probiotics” Like I don’t know! There comes a time when we need more help then probiotics. When done with this detox in my detox kit is a high dose of special probiotics to build the immune system up.

My day started with a homemade isolated protein shake and lot of immune building Seameal. Chloe and I did our spiritual practice then hit the Pilates Machine, and the my addicting Kale salad. I folded and organized my t-shirt cupboard and going to have an awesome roman salad. The roman salad will have steamed carrots, edamame’s, garbanzo beans, hard-boiled eggs, and red onion. Dressing pressed garlic, Dijon mustard, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Starting Detox to Kill Anaerobic Bacteria From Hospital

Detox

Reason for detox is I ended up with a multiple of bacterial infections in my body after major surgery. I fear getting sick repeatedly and hospital visits. People say, “Have faith” or “You will get through this.” I have been through misery for 6 months now and it doesn’t seem to end with that said I will be doing an Oxy cleans. The cleanse will kill all Candida and anaerobic bacteria from surgery. It can keep resurfacing inside my body and become resistant to antibiotics.I mentally having to prep my mind around a major detox I am doing.  I keep telling myself if I can make it through the major surgery and everything I have been through I can do this.

First day on detox. Take on empty stomach, then wait three hours no food at all after three hours. Take a liquid Oxy and wait 30 minutes to eat. Repeats process three hours later around dinnertime or, before bed on empty stomach.

  • Finished Pilates Machine workout and had a yummy kale, grapefruit and pine nut salad.

Trying to get well

August 28, 2015

I have to thank all my friends and family for support.

It has been about six months now and with out getting technical I have had third complications from major surgery. Several bacterial infections at this time.  The hardest months have been through June to present. Not blogging, praying has been hard to do because of my health. What I do know to be true is God is with me. Not being able to workout all of these things have tried my soul.

My Chloe has been a breath of sunshine and stays close to my side while I recover.

If I can be honest the infection frightens me so…..I have nightmares.

Please pray for my healing and that God can use me as a vessel again and not a patient…..Chloe love

Chronic Fatigue Immune Disease

May 26, 2015

Chronic Fatigue Immune Disease (CFID) it isn’t fun, but it is my life. The only way through is acceptance with out internal self pressure. Sometimes my mind competes with what, “I used to be like, or what I used to be able to do.” This is short because typing and cognition is difficult. May we honor our truth and love ourselves in the process. #hiddendisabilities #Chloesworld #servicedogs

Guess what another misnomer! DSCF7110

The Property Management Company where I live, has now said, “The expenses” I have incurred over the past year for my service animal are not included in their calculation of my rent.  Needless to say, I was speechless. I new I needed help fast. I contacted my dear friend Patti Doyle. She lives here also and is waging her own battle with terminal cancer and her civil rights.  I called Legal Aid Society.  I spoke to a fair housing expert and she is guiding me through the process. Here  are the Hud.gov guidelines.

MEDICAL ISSUES:

Question 1: What is considered an “assistance animal?” If someone brings a prescription for an animal to lower blood pressure, or for depression or emotional well-being, do we then consider this an assistance animal? Do we then allow for vet bills on those animals in an elderly/disabled household?
Answer 1: An assistance animal is one that works, provides assistance, or performs tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability. Page 4 of the Glossary in the handbook gives a full definition of an Assistance Animal. Part of which is “providing emotional support to persons with disabilities who have a disability related need for such support.” See paragraph 2-44 and 3-38 for additional information on determining if a resident meets the definition of a person with a disability that makes them eligible for an assistance animal as a reasonable accommodation and how to verify the need for an assistance animal.

The need for an assistance animal has to be directly related to a disability, and the services performed by the animal must alleviate one or more identified symptom of that person’s disability.

Veterinary bills as well as other expenses related to the upkeep of the assistance animal are allowed medical expense for a qualified assistance animal.

Question 2: Are companion animals’ expenses medical deductions just like assistance animals?
Answer 2: Yes, if the animal you refer to as a companion animal meets the definition of an assistance animal and the requirements of Paragraphs 2-44 and 3-38 in HUD Handbook 4350.3 REV-1 are followed.

Now It Is Stated Regarding Service Animals.

Martin Luther King day!

Many people living with hidden disabilities are being discriminated against daily.

“Hiddendisabilities” last post on wordpress.com was a reaction to the first “Dog Walking Area” I shared how all my rights are being denied under Fair Housing. The second message arrived on my door January 15, 2015.  ANIMALS This is not okay under any fair housing where disabled people live. The other concern is under HUD can pets be taken away from seniors?
