Detox

Reason for detox is I ended up with a multiple of bacterial infections in my body after major surgery. I fear getting sick repeatedly and hospital visits. People say, “Have faith” or “You will get through this.” I have been through misery for 6 months now and it doesn’t seem to end with that said I will be doing an Oxy cleans. The cleanse will kill all Candida and anaerobic bacteria from surgery. It can keep resurfacing inside my body and become resistant to antibiotics.I mentally having to prep my mind around a major detox I am doing.  I keep telling myself if I can make it through the major surgery and everything I have been through I can do this.

First day on detox. Take on empty stomach, then wait three hours no food at all after three hours. Take a liquid Oxy and wait 30 minutes to eat. Repeats process three hours later around dinnertime or, before bed on empty stomach.

  • Finished Pilates Machine workout and had a yummy kale, grapefruit and pine nut salad.

Trying to get well

August 28, 2015

I have to thank all my friends and family for support.

It has been about six months now and with out getting technical I have had third complications from major surgery. Several bacterial infections at this time.  The hardest months have been through June to present. Not blogging, praying has been hard to do because of my health. What I do know to be true is God is with me. Not being able to workout all of these things have tried my soul.

My Chloe has been a breath of sunshine and stays close to my side while I recover.

If I can be honest the infection frightens me so…..I have nightmares.

Please pray for my healing and that God can use me as a vessel again and not a patient…..Chloe love

Guess what another misnomer! DSCF7110

The Property Management Company where I live, has now said, “The expenses” I have incurred over the past year for my service animal are not included in their calculation of my rent.  Needless to say, I was speechless. I new I needed help fast. I contacted my dear friend Patti Doyle. She lives here also and is waging her own battle with terminal cancer and her civil rights.  I called Legal Aid Society.  I spoke to a fair housing expert and she is guiding me through the process. Here  are the Hud.gov guidelines.

MEDICAL ISSUES:

Question 1: What is considered an “assistance animal?” If someone brings a prescription for an animal to lower blood pressure, or for depression or emotional well-being, do we then consider this an assistance animal? Do we then allow for vet bills on those animals in an elderly/disabled household?
Answer 1: An assistance animal is one that works, provides assistance, or performs tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability. Page 4 of the Glossary in the handbook gives a full definition of an Assistance Animal. Part of which is “providing emotional support to persons with disabilities who have a disability related need for such support.” See paragraph 2-44 and 3-38 for additional information on determining if a resident meets the definition of a person with a disability that makes them eligible for an assistance animal as a reasonable accommodation and how to verify the need for an assistance animal.

The need for an assistance animal has to be directly related to a disability, and the services performed by the animal must alleviate one or more identified symptom of that person’s disability.

Veterinary bills as well as other expenses related to the upkeep of the assistance animal are allowed medical expense for a qualified assistance animal.

Question 2: Are companion animals’ expenses medical deductions just like assistance animals?
Answer 2: Yes, if the animal you refer to as a companion animal meets the definition of an assistance animal and the requirements of Paragraphs 2-44 and 3-38 in HUD Handbook 4350.3 REV-1 are followed.

Hayliegh’s World

March 31, 2011

Hayliegh took her pain meds and Sam-e and then out for our morning business.  We stopped by a neighbors for some coffee and sat out on a balcony looking over Mount Helix and the Mexican border.  Hayliegh is limping and staying right next to me.   She has skipped her breakfast today and looks a bit down.  We went to deliver cooked food to a friend Keith who lives w/ out a kitchen.  It is so cute to see a 6’5″ man melt w/ happiness when saying hello to Hayliegh as she greeted him w/ open paws and a wagging tail.  Now it is time to rest our bones.

Hayliegh has a quite a few nick names one of them was given to her when she was a puppy “Hayliegh Baily Muffins.”  When my friend Gina and her two kids were little, they would get together w/ me and Hayliegh and start saying in the cutest little kids voices “Hayliegh Baily Muffins.”  The kids would sit and giggle w/ her.

Boo Boo‘s is another nick name our friend larry calls her.  He will say “hows the Boo Boo‘s?” when he sees her and his voice softened and he gets all giggly and childlike.  Of course Hayliegh is smiling from ear to ear and that little bum is wiggling w/ her tail.
