How disabled do I have to look to be disabled with the use of a service dog? What happened to me was horrific today. Leaving Costco in La Mesa, my service dog and I were heading to the car. Out of nowhere, I hear this man yelling at me from his car that dogs aren’t allowed in stores. I just ignored him and went on my way then he starts his car and keeps yelling at me and I ignore him again. I get to my car to unload my things and this man pulls his car up next to me and keeps yelling at me about dogs not being in a store. I started yelling, “Help and call 911 please this man is harassing me because I have a service dog!” Two nice men, employees working for Costco started coming over to me. They were stunned themselves. I grabbed my phone as it was in the car and signing in to take pic and call 911 then the man drove off.
This is what is called emotional harassed and a violation to my space. Now I am in pain and a bit headachy from the adrenaline that is flowing through my body. It confirms why I need to publish my book on hidden disabilities and discrimination.

What can I say Grossmont Hospital is great! My father has been a patient for the last few days due to back surgery; the BIG question is where to rehabilitate? In addition, will my dad go? I am glad I have been running “The Hayliegh Project” one of the services I offer is to act as liaison for people in the hospital who need an advocate to help make decisions for them. Now I can help my parents who had no idea that my dad was going to need extra medical help and / or where to place him? From the work I have done, I knew right away, where I needed my dad to go and which was the nicest facility. I also knew we had to jump and be proactive asap. Our caseworkers Will and Carl couldn’t resist a pic w/ Chloe and who couldn’t resist a pic with them! We also met Daria who works in nutrition not only was she kind, but she couldn’t stop smiling because of Chloe.
Sweet little note: I said, “Dad I know you want out of here and I want you out of here too.” I said, “Dad I cannot even handle ER and when I leave ER I cannot get home fast enough”, so I said, “Dad you have to dial it in and work it out, so you can get home. This means move your muscles!” He was so cute he started lifting his legs in the hospital bed saying, “Kim I moving my legs and I have to dial it in!.” I shared with him how proud I was of him… Go dad!
What a way to end our day helping my parents and making people smile! WOOF!

Watching me closely
This was interesting for me to witness how Chloe new I had a migraine and I had to give myself an injection of Imitrex because the dissolving Maxalt was not working. We met my mom at the hospital and waited for my dad’s outcome from back surgery. We sat with my mom and normally Chloe goes crazy happy because she knows my mom. Well this time she looked at my mom and came right next to me then got in my lap and just nestled there for a good hour. As the medication kicked in, she seemed to be more relaxed and less stressed about my health. Than she lied on the floor. My last service Hayliegh knew migraines too. #servicedogs #hiddendisabilities
Good job Chloe!

The word for me today is, “Discipline.”
I am detoxing from relapsing with a breakout of anaerobic bacteria. There is no test to show if I will break out unless I have a breakout and by then it is too late off to hospital. The bacteria can affect the lungs, heart valves, intestines, or bladder. Dr. Whiting owner of Phoenix Nutritionals formulated a product Oxy cleanse. This product kills all bacteria and candida. I need to look at candida because I had been on many antibiotics before surgery. People say, “Oh take probiotics” Like I don’t know! There comes a time when we need more help then probiotics. When done with this detox in my detox kit is a high dose of special probiotics to build the immune system up.
My day started with a homemade isolated protein shake and lot of immune building Seameal. Chloe and I did our spiritual practice then hit the Pilates Machine, and the my addicting Kale salad. I folded and organized my t-shirt cupboard and going to have an awesome roman salad. The roman salad will have steamed carrots, edamame’s, garbanzo beans, hard-boiled eggs, and red onion. Dressing pressed garlic, Dijon mustard, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Today was a day of rest and doggie dates.
